Overview
SafeTea (“we”, “us”) helps users sanity-check identity consistency using public signals the user provides (e.g., phone number, email, or a photo). This is a guidance tool, not a background-check service.
What we collect
- Inputs you provide: phone, email, or photo for the current check.
- On-device history: saved results and masked identifiers stored locally on your device (MVP).
- Payments: In-app purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive card details.
- Analytics (optional): minimal, non-PII events (e.g., “check_succeeded”).
What we don’t collect
- No continuous tracking. No address book. No precise location.
- No sale of personal data. No advertising identifiers.
How data is used
Inputs are sent to third-party APIs you trigger (e.g., phone/email validation, reverse-image search) solely to complete your request. Results are summarized and shown to you.
Storage & retention
In the MVP, history is stored only on your device. You can clear it anytime in Settings.

- Google Custom Search + temporary image host for reverse-image lookup
- OpenAI (for text summary)
- Apple (in-app purchases)
Your choices
- Clear local data from Settings → “Clear Local Data”.
- Do not use the app to avoid sharing information with listed providers.
Children
Not intended for children under 16.
